Our role
Edinburgh Solar Hub is an impartial advisory service and introducer. We connect homeowners with MCS-certified renewable energy installers. We do not carry out installations ourselves or hold MCS certification. We install through MCS-certified partners.
Information accuracy
We make reasonable efforts to keep information on this website accurate and up to date. However:
- Generation and energy figures on this website are illustrative only. Prices are confirmed on your written quote and should not be inferred from this website.
- Funding and finance information (including VAT rates and means-tested schemes) is subject to change without notice. 0% VAT on solar panels and batteries until 31 March 2027. Finance: Loans available, subject to status.
- Conservation area and listed building planning outcomes are not guaranteed. Each application is assessed on its merits by the City of Edinburgh Council.
- Solar generation estimates are based on MCS MIS 3002 methodology and typical conditions. Actual performance depends on installation, weather and shading.
Accreditations
MCS certification referenced on this website is held by our installation partners, not by Scot Energy Efficiency Ltd.
