GUARANTEES & AFTERCARE
Guarantees, warranties and aftercare for your installation
We install through MCS-certified partners. Scottish Energy Efficiency (Edinburgh Solar Hub) is the advisory and introducer service. Warranty and guarantee terms are confirmed in writing on your quotation.
Workmanship guarantee
Workmanship cover relates to the quality of the installation itself — for example roof fixings, cable routing, electrical connections and weatherproofing. What is covered, and for how long, is set out in your installation paperwork.
Warranty and guarantee terms are confirmed in writing on your quotation. Ask your surveyor during the home survey if you would like anything explained.
Manufacturer warranties
The components in your system usually carry separate manufacturer warranties, provided by the equipment manufacturer. Terms vary by product, so we do not quote general figures here.
| Component | Warranty terms |
|---|---|
| Solar panels — product warranty | Confirmed on your written quote |
| Solar panels — performance warranty | Confirmed on your written quote |
| Inverters (string / hybrid) | Confirmed on your written quote |
| Micro-inverters | Confirmed on your written quote |
| Battery storage systems | Confirmed on your written quote |
| Mounting systems & roof fixings | Confirmed on your written quote |
Warranty and guarantee terms are confirmed in writing on your quotation.
